Lyrical.

One of my most favorite bloggers, Jami Nato is hosting a sneaky little link up right now.

She is encouraging folks to find the gospel in mainstream music
and then post it on their blogs
and take it viral on instagram.

How cool would it be if today someone understood the gospel
for the first time because of Kesha?
OK.  Bad choice.  Really bad choice.

But for reals, y'all.
Common grace is all around us.
You never know what will speak to someone.
We are all looking for a Savior, after all.

The first time I heard the song "Some Nights," I loved it.
And when I heard these lyrics near the end of the song,
they moved me immensely.
I'm pretty sure I cried a little.

The Apostle Paul says:
"And we know that in ALL things {even the most terrible}
that God works for the good of those who love Him,
who have been called according to His purpose."
{parenthesis is my addition}

And again in Isaiah 61:3:
"To all who mourn in Israel,
He will bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair."

Be encouraged, friends.
