Lately, God has been stirring me in this way.
To speak a truth that so many of us need to hear.
I believe that we were all created for something grand.
That we are all creative beings with a purpose.
So many times I have heard things like
"I'm sooo not creative." "I'm not good at things like that."
And I say to you, my friends, that simply isn't true.
Painting may not be your gift. Or your joy.
Or cooking. Or macrame. Or whatever.
But, you have been woven together by an infinitely
CREATIVE and AWE-INSPIRING GOD.
IN HIS IMAGE.
Guess what that means?
That YOU are infinitely creative AND awe-inspiring.
{Yes, you.}
If you've spent your life in a cage,
prisoner to the expectations of those around you,
then maybe that is why you don't feel this creativity
that pulses through your veins.
Or, if you've gotten comfy in that tree,
afraid to venture out into unchartered waters,
please know that this risk is one worth taking.
Fear will kill your spirit.
So, you haven't yet found your genius.
Or, better yet, you haven't allowed your genius
the space to work itself out.
What would you become if you gave
the little fish inside of you the freedom to find THE WATER?
To climb the hell down out of that tree and
find the wide open sea that it was meant to live in?
