Happy New Year!

2010 is off and running....

Selah has been talking up a storm lately...she will repeat most words that we say and occasionally will be able to say words on her own for common things like Elmo ("Melmo"), up, juice, drink, bottle, shoe, butt (with special emphasis on the "tt," etc. She has said up to three words at once so far and it was "more peez momma." Sigh-melt my heart little one.

Her latest interests include small toiletries (with a special affinity for spray bottles), writing utensils, and wearing her tutu that some friends got for her. She grabbed it out of her closet and brought it to me and tried to put it on herself. OMG! So stinkin' cute! How does she know already how to be such a girl?!

Check out our pics from the holiday season:

Our City Group Christmas party sans Josh and Hannah.
Selah loves to climb up in the rocker and pile books on herself to read.
We spent Christmas Eve with the Johnsons...our dear friends. Clarissa has been such a saint to watch Selah for us each week while Josh and I spend time investing in our marriage. Thanks so much Claire!!!!!
This is our sweet pea getting comfy in her new chair and reading again. Thanks Granny!
She was and is very thrilled with her laugh and learn house. Well, wall really. But she doesn't know the difference.
We spent Christmas day with the Kranzes. Sue made very yummy food and we had fun playing with the baby and watching Christmas vacation. We are so thankful for our Orlando family of people that we've met through church and RTS. Living far away from our families is really a bummer during the holidays. It wouldn't have even seemed like Christmas for me if we weren't able to spend it with loved ones.
Selah loved the pumpkin pie so much she mooched it off of everyone! Thanks Tova for sharing! I think she might like it more than I do, which seems impossible!

Here is our best attempt at a family pic in front of our tree at home. Lullah must have been so thankful to be included...
The next few shots are from our trip to Tampa. What a fabulous zoo they have there!!!! I give it major props and would recommend that anyone that has a chance visits it. The animals are beautiful and the space is plentiful. It is so interactive as you will soon see....Anywho, the above shot is one of my faves. Josh and Selah are in a building looking at a manatee. I just loved the shadows and the pretty blue.
Meet Angie the Llama.
These penguins were just adorable. Selah wanted to get in the pen with them!
For $2 and about 10 minutes waiting in a small line, we got to feed the giraffe a cracker!!! I couldn't believe it!
And, let there be no secrets. I had more fun than Selah riding this camel. And it was only $4!
Selah was very brave with the animals-reaching out to touch many of them.
She was initially afraid of this lorakeet, but conquered her fear. (And almost got bitten!)
This was Daddy's favorite part of the trip-a Greek restaurant called Acropolis. They danced around like crazy people shouting "Opa!" and throwing napkins and breaking plates! Who wants to go to Greece with me and hang with these people?!?!?! They really know how to have some serious fun! This is where we went for Daddy's birthday dinner. He's 33 now!
We made a pitstop at DeSoto National Park-which was voted America's Most Beautiful Beach in 2005. Really. It was pretty. But, I think I am spoiled....I have been to the beach so much now that it doesn't have that same oooooooohhhhh, aaaaaahhhhhhhh feeling much anymore. Yeah, I'm spoiled. Dang it!
Here is a pic of our budding artist. She chews on the crayons as much as she draws with them, but I am being very intentional to help her develop her creative side.
Here is the aforementioned tutu. Along with her outfit for the day and teddy bear slippers. What a cutie!

Okay, I think I made it through!
