I took my growing girl, soon to be 4, to see Brave this past weekend.
We ended up seeing it in 3-D since the first show was sold out.
At least we got to rock the awesome glasses.

The timing could not have been any more appropriate.
It was a bonding moment like no other for us.
So much so that after the movie ended,
I just held her tight and we danced to the sound of bagpipes
as tears trickled down my face.
And as luck would have it,
Instagram deleted my most favorite photo from the day.
Not to worry though because I will be marching on over
to the theater and retaking that same image.
It's that important.
A quick review of the movie~
Warning: there are a few scary parts involving a giant evil looking bear
and a shriveled up old witch.
But Selah did great and wasn't phased by either.
*************
Brave is a lovely story of the dynamics between a mother,
who is trying her best to raise the perfect princess with manners and class,
and her daughter Merida, who simply just doesn't fit in to that mold.
Their relationship is brought to a new level of closeness when calamity strikes.
Both mom and daughter see the error of their ways and triumph together.
It's the perfect blend of hilarious, cheeky and adventure.
Selah and I give it 2 enthusiastic thumbs up.
Take away?
Be brave enough to know who you are
and have the courage to live out of that place.
Can I get an amen?
Sounds like a great movie ~ one I'm definitely taking my kiddos to. But besides the movie it sounds like a fabulous day for you and your Selah!
ReplyDeleteAmen sista! Hey....can't find a way to contact you. Hate to do this through a comment :( I love your blog. Linking up with Emily for Embrace the Camera and came across your link. I'm pretty new to the blogging world and have decided to host a summer sponsor swap. Want to swap buttons?
